About me
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with more than 9 years of experience. I have worked in a variety of settings including a VA Hospital, community correctional facility, and a behavioral health hospital. I have worked with people with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, paranoia, psychosis, and chemical dependency.
I believe in treating a person as a whole, not just a disorder. My approach is to meet each person where they are regarding their readiness to make changes in their life. I take into consideration the various components of an individual to gain an understanding of each person I am working with. I utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy skills, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and client-centered therapy.
It can be challenging making the decision to reach out, but you will not be alone on this journey. We will develop goals and a treatment plan together to work towards progress and growth. I look forward to working with you!
